Ripp

Ripp Hardaway grew up in San Antonio and attended Texas A&M University.  After graduation he attended Hardin-Simmons University and earned a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.  He also met his wife Sue and got married.  A year after they were married, he was hired to serve as the Bishop’s Deputy for Camps, College and Youth Ministry for the Diocese of West Texas.  That is some title, huh?  He served the diocese for four years and then answered the call to enter seminary.  He and his family attended the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.

Ripp graduated from Sewanee in 2003.  Since that time he has served as an assistant at Holy Spirit in Dripping Springs, as the Rector of St. Christopher’s by-the-Sea in Portland and was appointed here at St. John’s to serve as the Vicar in 2009.  He, his wife Sue, daughter Mekenzie and son Hayden, love being at St. John’s and living in New Braunfels.
